Cambridge Initiative Connects 150 Students Through Creative Workshops

In a significant effort to foster cooperation and creativity, a Cambridge-based initiative has brought together 150 students from various schools to participate in creative workshops this December. Held on the scenic grounds of The Backs, these workshops are designed to provide students with a platform to work collaboratively on art and music projects. The programme began on 1st December 2025 and is expected to run until the end of the month. Supported by a £50,000 grant from the Cambridge Educational Fund, the initiative aims to build bridges between students from different educational backgrounds across the city.

The workshops, taking place twice a week, involve activities such as painting, sculpture, and music composition. These activities not only encourage teamwork but also allow participants to learn new skills in a supportive environment.

The programme is open to students aged 12 to 16 from five participating schools in Cambridge. A mid-programme evaluation is scheduled for 20th December to assess the initiative's impact and gather insights for future iterations. The organisers plan to showcase the students' works in a public exhibition at the end of the programme, further highlighting the creative talents fostered through this initiative.
